Caleb Powell's latest, Surfing in Pakistan (Paper Angel Press), a collaboration with Sana Nasim, includes work previously published by The Seneca Review (2017) and Pleiades (2023). Caleb also has bylines in Poets & Writers, Post Road, The Rumpus, The Stranger, The Sun Magazine, and Zyzzyva. He co-authored, with David Shields, I Think You're Totally Wrong: A Quarrel (Knopf). Shields and Powell played themselves in the film, directed by James Franco.
He spent eight years overseas in South America, the Middle East, and Asia, and blogged from 2014-2018 for Pakistan's Express Tribune. He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife and three daughters.
