My name is Bradley Tylander, and I begin my story at a time in my life when I was working as a stockbroker in Chicago in 1983, but due to my alcoholism, I kept getting fired, first by Dean Witter, and then Paine Webber, so I finally quit drinking and started modeling, and my entire life totally changed when I took what was supposed to be a one week ski vacation to Innsbruck, and fell in love with being in a different country, and decided not to get on my return flight, and ended up taking a train south and getting off in Nice, France due to meeting a guy on the train who was a model there, and got signed by his model agency, and within a week I was hired as an extra in that old show The Love Boat, and then after working in Nice for a few months, I moved to Paris and got signed by a model agency there, and during a photoshoot, the photographer suggested that if I ever get a chance, go to Singapore because it is soooo cool, so after landing a cigarette ad that shot in Santorini, Greece, I took that money and moved to Singapore and got signed by a model agency there, and after 6 months in Singapore doing commercials and modeling jobs, I moved to New York to study acting, and after a year and half in NYC, I moved to Hong Kong and that ol' acting training paid off, because I was cast as a featured actor in several top movies there, and then out of the blue, I ended up buying a professional camera, a Nikon F3, and started shooting erotic content for local mens magazines which I shot in Manilla, and then I move to Thailand and after working in a made for TV movie called Last Flight Out with Richard Crenna where I had a speaking role, I started shooting girls again, and got my very first cover of the magazine Penthouse Magazine Thailand, and soon after, I started shooting for Larry Flynt’s new title called Asian Fever and later Oriental Dolls, all the while living in a 31st floor penthouse suite smack dab in the middle of Bangkok, and by the year 2000, I had become the most prolific photographer of erotic Asian girls in the world, shooting 100 girls altogether, selling the material to magazines worldwide. I mean, Flynt had just started the magazine Asian Fever, and I got the very first cover and 8 covers that first year of publication. I’ve included 200 images in my memoir and if you like that sort of stuff, you should check out my memoir. The photos are erotic but not nude. I consider those images art. I still live here in Thailand in 2025 by the way, some 40 years after that what was supposed to be a one week ski trip to Innsbruck.
Anyway, after living this incredible life of mine, I decided to write a memoir which I appropriately named My Journey from Stockbroker to Pornographer (Chicago to Bangkok), and it was the best decision I've ever made in my life. I got so much out of the entire process that I never expected. I recommend that you read my story because there is not another one like it.
Lastly, the reason that I wrote this memoir is because my story was too amazing to just let it go to my grave with me, and so I took this thing on, and it was the best decision of my life, to put it mildly. Anyway, take care and enjoy.
