The author of "El Cofre de Cuentos" is a certified radio announcer who has enjoyed listening to stories and children's tales on the radio since childhood. In 2001, he worked at a radio station where he produced and hosted a children's program in which he told stories and played children's music, which inspired him to write stories not only for children, but also for young adults and adults. Over time, he has written a wide collection of stories, and when he saw the opportunity to publish them, he made a selection for his first children's book. For the creation of "El Cofre de Cuentos," the author was inspired by what motivates children to learn through games, and he prioritized the values he saw a need to emphasize, as well as some knowledge he wanted to convey from his own experience. The most important value he wishes to impart is that children learn to value and enjoy childhood, which lasts for a very short time. Due to his radio announcer background, the author highly values imagination and believes that words alone can create atmospheres and contexts in the mind according to one's own experiences, so he preferred that his first book not include illustrations. The author hopes that children enjoy the stories and identify with the characters and their experiences to strengthen their own personality and desire to learn. From parents, he hopes they take the opportunity to share the stories to enjoy their children's cognitive growth and development, spending more time with them and getting to know them in greater depth in both their motivations and attitudes. The author plans to create more children's stories in the future, some in series of books with fixed characters facing different situations creatively, as well as a selection of stories for teenagers and adults that take them on flights of fantasy, suspense, and mysticism.
