Angela Palm Hopkins is the author of Riverine: A Memoir from Anywhere but Here–winner of the Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize, a Kirkus Best Book, a Powerful Memoir by Powerful Women selected by Oprah, an Indie Next selection, and a finalist for the Vermont Book Award and the Indiana Author Award/Emerging Author Award. Angela has taught creative writing workshops and classes at Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Colgate Writers’ Conference, Champlain College, New England Young Writers' Conference, The Kentucky Women Writers’ Conference, The Writers’ Barn, The Porch (Nashville), and more; she is the recipient of a Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Fellowship in narrative nonfiction and a creation grant from the Vermont Arts Council; and she has served for five years as a fellows and scholars application judge for the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. Her writing has appeared in Indiana Review, Creative Nonfiction, Tin House, Literary Hub, Longreads, Ecotone, Passages North, Green Mountains Review, Brevity, Epiphany, DIAGRAM, and elsewhere. Angela is a founding board member of the Green Mountain Book Festival and a writing coach at Boston’s Grub Street. She is also the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Washington, DC’s Coforma–a design and digital services agency that crafts creative digital solutions that elevate human needs for government, nonprofits, and values-aligned private sector businesses. Angela lives with her husband and children in Vermont, where she can often be found walking in the woods. She values and promotes a rich, inspired, bold, and balanced life.
