About this listen

A Beauty and the Beast Fantasy Romance Retelling

A curse that must be broken.

A human longing for home.

Four yearning fae princes.

A villain in the shadows.

Rosalina O’Connell has been exiled from the fae realm and sent back to Orca Cove, against her wishes. Betrayed by her own mate, Prince Keldarion of the Winter Realm. But nothing will stop her from returning to her true home.

When Rosie manages to tap into the magic of Castletree, and make contact with Prince Ezryn of the Spring Realm, she begs him to rescue her.

But when Rosie returns to the Enchanted Vale, she and the princes discover that there is a frost attacking the Autumn Realm. If Rosie can’t figure out how to stop it, war will be declared in the Enchanted Vale.

Can Rosie unearth the magic inside herself and save her princes and the Autumn realm?

The second book in the Beasts of the Briar series, a spicy Beauty and the Beast retelling filled with morally grey characters, a sinfully hot villain and a princess who has found her Prince Charming. All four of them.

Critic Reviews

Praise for Bonded by Thorns:

'My newest fantasy escape! Bonded By Thorns is a sweeping introduction to an enchanted fae world brimming with magic, mystery, and romance. Elizabeth Helen expertly combine fractured fairytales and beloved romantasy tropes to craft a compelling story with great characters'

Emily Rath, USA Today bestselling author of North is the Night

'Fun, scorching hot, and absolutely ADDICTIVE. I am obsessed with this series'

Elizabeth May, #1 Sunday Times Bestselling author of The Falconer series

'Enchanted fae, a sexy villain, and morally grey men all wrapped up in the why-choose fantasy romance of your dreams. Beasts of Briar is the perfect series for romantasy lovers everywhere. I’m hungry for more!'

Clio Evans, author of Cosmic Kiss

Bonded by Thorns is a fairytale for grown-ups sinking its thorns into your heart and refusing to let go. It’s a wild, beautiful ride with steam that drips off the pages. Elizabeth Helen weaves a story where the “why choose” romance is a complex braid of roses, that'll have you thirsty for every last drop of love, even as the thorn pricks make you bleed. Prepare to be hooked until the very last word — and then left fiending for the next instalment’

Lexi Esme, author of Threads of Fate

'Elizabeth Helen's Bonded By Thorns takes Beauty and the Beast and turns it on its heels. This innovative blend of beloved romantasy tropes paired with a steamy romance featuring not one, but four princes, is now my favorite way to experience the fairy tale classic'

Frankie Diane Mallis, author of Daughter of the Drowned Empire

Listening to the readers constantly swallowing is absolutely painful. turn away from the mic if you have to swallow for goodness sake. Farron sounds like some LGBTIQ queen. The way they mimic the voices is pathetic. I absolutely love the story but I think I'd rather actually read the books, these voices ruin it and make the sex scenes cringey and pathetic.

some parts of the writing got my hopes up that it would be good. but then I'd be cringing. The FMC was pretty weak and I wasn't on board with the message of, if you get rejected just keep throwing yourselves at the same or a different MMC. Not my style. Maybe to someone else's.

cheesy and FMC is a doormat

The narration is terrible and ruins the story . I listened to two books hoping I would just get used to the narration but they just annoyed me more . I will be reading the remaining books

Read the series don't listen to it

Ezryns voice is really jarring - it does not suit the character or story and pulls you out of it each time as he sounds about 30 years older than the other characters. Rosie and Kel narration is perfect. Farris is okay. Days voice also doesn’t suit the character (a bit older sounding rather than youthful/flirty). Good bones of story - much better tension and spice in this book (3/5) - pacing for bonds is a bit slow!!

Good, but could be much better with narration!
