So glad I was wrong.
This to hit me so hard in the feels. You know sometimes authors try to make their work heartwrenching? This wasn't that. I didn't feel manipulated. I didnt feel like the authors were just trying to make me cry for the hell of it. These characters were just...so incredibly written, I felt everything they felt.
The MMC were perfection, but Aurora was one of the best written FMC I've read in ages. I LOVED her.
There were also some action scenes that blew me away. Usually action bores me, or it can be hard to follow, depending on the writing, but I craved more. So good!
By the end of the book, my eyes were stinging and my heart was a mangled mess in the best possible way.
Highly recommend. Great performances and great story. I will definitely read Bk 2!
