About this listen

It's said that women and men are from two different planets when it comes to communication, but how can they overcome the obstacles of prehistoric times when one of them simply doesn't have the ability to comprehend language?

Ehd's a caveman living on his own in a harsh wilderness. He's strong and intelligent but completely alone. When he finds a beautiful, young woman in his pit trap, it's obvious to him that she is meant to be his mate. He doesn't know where she came from; she's wearing some pretty odd clothing, and she makes a lot of noises with her mouth that give him a headache. Still, he's determined to fulfill his purpose in life - provide for her, protect her, and put a baby in her.

Elizabeth doesn't know where she is or exactly how she got there. She's confused and distressed by her predicament, and there's a caveman hauling her back to his cave home. She's not at all interested in Ehd's primitive advances, and she just can't seem to get him to listen. No matter what she tries, getting her point across to this primitive but beautiful man is a constant - and often hilarious - struggle.

With only each other for company, they must rely on one another to fight the dangers of the wild and prepare for the winter months. As they struggle to coexist, theirs becomes a love story that transcends language and time.

Contains mature themes.

Transcendence..... a journey into another time and what a journey it was. I’m not too sure how to best describe Ehd & Beh’s story, and I don’t want to give anything away. Its told from Ehd’s point of view and as he is a Neanderthal his reaction and reasoning to the sudden appearance of Beh is very interesting. He takes Beh as his mate and what’s to mate with her all the time so he can put a baby in her. He finds her odd and doesn’t understand her at all yet he wants her and wants her bad. Their story is one filled with humour (i had a few, smiling like a Cheshire Cat moments), wonder, love and heartache. I absolutely enjoyed this story from Shay Savage and I hope that one day I wake to find Transcendence in Behs point of view. The epilogue gives you an insight but the entire story from Beh would be fantastic.

I wish that we also heard from Beh and think a follow up from her POV would be great.

really enjoyed it.

It’s a beautiful love story. Too much sex for a few chapters (boring!) but apart from that it’s just beautiful. Told from the male pov only, which is different. Don’t expect action and drama, just a gentle telling of life in prehistoric times.

Beautiful

good narrator and even though i haven't finished I am enjoying the view into daily life of cave man, i hope it explains how 'Beh' arrived there.

what I hate is the detailed sex. almost porno! 3 chapters I skipped over because they were dedicated to the characters having sex.

also very very repetitive in 'Ehd's thoughts...i get he was a caveman so not too intelligent but if the character said 'she is my mate and I will care and protect her' once it was repeated many many times.

story good but.....

This book was exceedingly sweet and so different from everything else you will read. You cant help but love the MCs. I may also have found a new favourite narrator.

I loved this book
