So. The story in he was good, but too much happened - the main story is about Angel and Max, then we had a side story about his brother Ryker and Bass (Angel’s head of security). We were then introduced and started to delve a little bit into the next books’ couples - Angel’s dad and FBI detective, plus Pierce and Hawk.
The content covered for each relationship was great, high energy, romance, a touch of master/sun for one couple; however they should have been kept to their own book each, instead of trying to cram into one book - as this meant that potential additions were left out and couples feel in love straight away, instead of the reality of time it would take.
I think this may be some of the authors earlier work as A.E.Via has done an amazing job on later series, and I would HIGHLY recommend the ‘nothing special’(listen to first) and ‘bounty’ series. I have gone back a couple of times and can’t wait until new books are released for both series.

This story is mainly about Angel DeLucca and Maximus (Max) Strong who meet after one of the worst nights of Angel's life when a disgruntled man pulls the fire alarm in Angel's club. Angel is one of the most eligible gay bachelors in Virginia Beach and the man is just one in a line of failed attempts at a relationship for Angel but the man's actions brings Max into Angels orbit and the sparks fly from the beginning while Max is trying to take a statement from Angel after his fire crew responds to the fire alarm. The attraction is instant, scorching hot and unstoppable which alarms Max who believes himself to be straight. What follows is a breath taking and all consuming love affair. It has the side effect of leaving Max's brother Ryker Strong who has always protected Max feeling lonely and isolated until he meets Angel's Chief of Security, Sebastian 'Bass' Bagatelli a master dom and just what Ryker has wanted his entire life if only he can trust himself and Bass enough to let Bass in. There are some who want to take away what Angel and Max have and they must fight for each other and boy do they. A surprisingly good listen which I thoroughly enjoyed and will go to book two.

Is a great introduction to a new series , as it had a huge number of characters introduced. If you enjoy sexy man, sexy times, Insta love, straight to gay, a little kink, fast paced action etc etc then this is a series for you. Tim Paige did a great job at narrating.
