I listened to this story on 1.30 speed as narration by Natasha Soudek is always spoken VERY SLOWLY.

This is a medieval type warrior tale that includes the evil guardians, the warriors who are conditioned to obey from birth and the villagers at the bottom of the pile that are forced to give up there unmarried virgin maidens for breeding with the warriors..
Katya was given to Teron as a bride but what she thought would happen was not her reality..
Tosek was a kind childlike innocence not sure what was expected of him, Katya ended up being the teacher for him.. but she ended up teaching him alot more than just passion.. With a growing love for each other and the fear of the guardian Slovark forcing himself on Katya. They soon begin planing a rebellion that must happen for their future freedom and for a HEA..

Would suggest listening to this novel at 1.10x speed. Also, just a warning: contains a couple of accounts of sexual assault.

I like Ms Dee's writing so thought I'd try her as she wrote in a different genre.
It was a simple story with great description and a decent pace.
there was steam, real base alphas and a woman with courage ....I enjoyed the easy listen.
Natasha has narrated Ms Dee's books before so having enjoyed her voice before I was happy to listen again. only drawback is that Natasha speaks slowly..its good as you get clear and succinct speech but too slow for me on audible. so in my opinion you'll probably need to speed up the narration

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and was disappointed it came to an end so soon. Some very steamy and heartfelt moments. The narrator reads quite slowly but is good at 1.15x speed.
