About this listen
Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life.
When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school—10, to be exact.
When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings' Club, and these boys are about to flip her world upside down.
Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?

Addictive but cringe-worthy

I liked the level of smut, I wouldn’t say this is bully romance maybe more a enemies to lovers/still enemies.
I liked that the fmc can shoot and she’s not a damsel.
I don’t know what’s happening still really.
I’ll be starting book two asap
Lucy rivers does a great job on the narration.

The plot develops gradually, beginning with familiar elements of a new student adjusting to a prestigious institution. As the story progresses, additional layers are revealed, including long-standing rivalries, unspoken rules, and carefully concealed information. Attentive listeners may notice early hints that foreshadow later developments, which adds cohesion to the overall structure.
Character development is a notable strength. Madison is written as observant and resilient, while the supporting cast is complex and clearly differentiated, each playing a role in advancing the central mystery. The story places emphasis on atmosphere and interpersonal tension rather than action-driven pacing, with momentum increasing in the latter half of the book.
Lucy Rivers’ narration is clear and consistent, maintaining a steady pace and distinct character voices. Her delivery supports the tone of the story without distraction, making the audiobook easy to follow.
Overall, The Silver Swan offers a layered narrative centred on secrets, hierarchy, and consequence. While the opening is slower than later sections, the audiobook presents a structured and engaging listening experience that sets the foundation for future instalments in the series.
A Dark, Intriguing Academy Story.

I gave up about half way through.
Completely insufferable to me. The storyline is a good one but it's just toooo cryptic, it got dull and as much as I love a good dark romance style book, this was.....disappointing.
With that said, it's not to my taste but it could be to yours. Everyone likes different things so at least give it a go. It is a good storyline. Just the rest was lacking to me.
I love the voice actor though
Too cryptic and dull
