Oliver Conklin inspired renowned artist / dom / lover, Jeffrey Kuyper to create amazing, explicit artworks until Jeffrey’s untimely death. Oliver has not moved on and competes for Jeffrey’s art at auction with the mysterious Dark Collector. When Jeffrey loses, the Dark Collector offers him the artwork in exchange for a weekend of sex. Neither anticipate the feelings that develop. What a let down! This could easily have been a much better story if there were fewer sex scenes and the ones that were there were longer, more involved, with more anticipatory build up - they were all over so quickly and perfunctorily! Did this book want to be romance or erotica - it couldn’t decide so didn’t do either genre justice. Toby Trail narrated the audio well but couldn’t paper over the cracks.

The premise was great but the execution was poor!
