After I finished book 1 I started this one the next morning and honestly, this had me instantly hooked, I liked this one more than I liked the first one but I am a sucker for Mafia romance. It’s giving full‑on forbidden chaos: she’s supposed to marry the mafia heir, and instead she falls for his dad. Twenty‑five years older, totally off‑limits, and absolutely obsessed with her. It’s messy, dramatic, and exactly the kind of dark‑romance energy that keeps you glued to the audiobook. Nina sounds trapped and desperate, Enzo is unhinged in that “I shouldn’t want you but I do” way, and the whole setup screams tension. If you like age gaps, mafia drama, and characters making the worst decisions possible, this one promises all of it. Eliza and Lucas absolutely crushed it with the narration too. Their delivery made the tension hit so much harder — the emotions, the heat, the danger, all of it just landed perfectly.
