I listened to the audio version and it was quite the experience!
Seraphine is kidnapped from the mortal realm and taken to a secluded island and forced to attend Quarrierton Academy. It’s not a normal school. The whole academy is full of immortal beings.
She meets Dane(the Shadow Prince), and they share an intense dislike for each other immediately.
They are forced into each others presence throughout the book and they eventually form a bond, a weird one, but one nonetheless 😳
I love Leigh and her writing and this is no different. I really enjoyed this book, but will say I’m annoyed at myself for starting it without realising there is a second book to come and it ends on a cliffhanger 😒

Loved listening to this ! except the back and forth between the two main characters was starting to get very annoying. "angsty" but immature angst almost. very repetitive but then again, her memories didn't help. but still, very annoying.
almost had a similarity to Fallen by Lauren Kate, except dark and dirty! love me a shadow daddy.
the spice was probably a 3.5ish.
BUT THE NARRATOR ahhh *chefs kiss* pretty sure I heard a little growl or two 🤭
