About this listen

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I survived, but at what cost?

They aren't going to stop until they get victory and more blood is shed. We're all in danger, fighting to stay on top.

The most unlikely alliances are forming. But I guess that's what happens when you anger the masses. It's a tale as old as time—rivals coming together when war is brewing on the horizon.

A deadly rival club threatens to bring us all down. But that's not the only problem I have. I have to fight to keep us all together.

And that might be the biggest challenge of all.

Recklessly Damaged is a reverse harem taboo romance—meaning the main female character will have more than one love interest. It contains adult themes, course language, and is intended for mature audiences.

Recklessly Damaged is book 3 in The Lies We Keep series.

I’ve read the first three books in this series and while it isn’t my favourite from Steph Macca, I did enjoy it and I’m definitely planning to read the final book.

I went in expecting darker, and while it delivered in moments, the overall intensity felt quite tame compared to Dance With My Monsters. The standout was the aftermath of the car crash, and the cliffhanger was easily the strongest part of the book.

Reading the series back-to-back made some flaws more noticeable, especially the constant vape references in book two. It popped up far too often and became distracting rather than atmospheric.

The spice was good, the chemistry and banter worked, but the romance moved too fast. All three brothers fell for Rhylee very quickly, with little resistance, which took away some of the tension. The MMCs were a highlight though, all distinct and genuinely enjoyable in different ways.

Overall, it’s a solid 4 stars. Enjoyable, flawed, and still worth the read.
Final verdict: flawed fave ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Characters came together MMCs developed less chaotic and less plot gaps. Got more RH theme. 🌶️ Yes agree with others the vape become main character - enough already - was slow at start but moved pace along.
Amazing narration by all 5 🌟 worth to continue series and find out ending.
FMC needs stop circling repetitive same story - develop more in book 4 !
