The story was great and the performers did a great job, I just didn’t think his voice quite right but too old for his character. But overall great story.

I was all aboard the Huck train until right at the end. I really wanted a moment where Huck actually understood Cora's side for what he did, rather than having no remorse whatsoever. It felt like Cora held strong until she didn't. I wanted Huck to acknowledge that while he didn't regret his actions, he could still consider Cora's feelings. For me, the dynamic really changed at that point, and it was so close to the end of the story that it wasn't completely resolved. I'm assuming there'll be more to come in future books.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good dual style audio.

Book 2 did not disappoint it was even better and have listened to it 3 times now.

The narator was very good.
But the story although well written I only finished because I paid for it.
i just could NOT get on board with the forced pregnancy. To me the deceit s an insurmountable problem Id likley never forgive.
This obviously may not be seen by anyone though as audible tends not to show the less than favourable ratings (insert eye roll).

I disliked everything about this book. It went too far. And it is not healthy to peddle control as 'romance'.
