Highly improbable, but one can get caught up in the fast pace and Stylo Fantomes story.
This book tracked all over the world.
It is certainly different to a romantic story that you would be used too.

Wandering the world

Well it started out like it was going be an equal in listen to book 1.
But it spiralled down to bigger holes in the plot.
Still no safe sex. No protection, no pregnancy. Something the author decided to gloss over...fair enough.
But the 2 heroes in the book seemed to be losing their touch, and their reputation from book1 slipped badly.
They wanted stealthy in the middle of an assassination.... instead there was yelling and screaming ..didn't gell in my mind.
So many holes in this book. The back and forth thinking of the heroine was annoying. Is she a badass or is she normal...just looped through the book...alot
For a trained assassin Marcel definitely screwed up a lot..
Although we know why. And Kingsley needs a story as he is In a bad way.
i felt like I could have shortened the book with a different plan.
But it still remained fast paced, Steamy. Angsty and Kingsley.!
The grit just softened a bit and the plans got looser.
Ok read even though it's obvious what she have been said but the author held off till one of the last chapters. That was a bit frustrating.
All the wounds she/they inflicted didn't lay them low for any long period of time which was one of the loop holes that could have been tightened.
All in all the plot continued its chase. And of course meetings were destined.
Some grit in some places still but then fades out.
Good narration. Good to see Holden has a few more chapters to read. It evened out the voices.
So ok listen but could have maintained that undercurrent of badness that the character's were portrayed in early chapters of book 1
