I have just completed reading Mile High, the second installment in R.K. Lilley’s Up in the Air series, and it was an exhilarating experience. The narrative continues to explore the intense and intricate relationship between Bianca and James, delving deeper into their passionate connection. The author skilfully intertwines intense heat with profound emotional conflict, as Bianca's guarded demeanour clashes with James's unwavering determination, which kept me thoroughly engaged. Their chemistry is palpable, and the scenes aboard the private jet are particularly memorable, truly embodying the essence of the title.

Even moments that felt slightly repetitive, such as their tumultuous dynamic, did not detract from my overall enjoyment, thanks to the impressive character development and brisk pacing of the story. The writing flows seamlessly, drawing me in from the very beginning to the end. For those who appreciate romance infused with drama and the allure of a captivating billionaire, this book is a perfect choice.
