She betrayed him, and now he wants revenge against the sister who became his forbidden obsession the second he laid eyes on her. After she sends him to prison for years, he’s free and ready to haunt her.

Narration took this story to another level

This story was unhinged and taboo AF.
I found myself question my mental state reading this at the start but decided i just had to throw my morals to the wind.
Part 1 was decent. Good story development. Taboo but good.
Now part 2 was all I could ask for and more. MMC can’t even be described as morally grey, he is just F’d in the head and I’m here for it. Joe Arden’s narration of Malachi was award winning. That man knows how to voice a voice a psychopath.
A+ would recommend. Can’t wait for book 2

Malakai had me nearly crying.

I don’t think I’ve written a review before but I loved this book so much I had to. Malakai was so well played by Joe and as a character had me nearly crying for him with the way things played out. If you like your MMC’s dark and deep then this is it.

Amazing Narration

This book was the perfect scratch to my taboo itch. I believe that this book is definitely best as a audiobook in order to really feel what the MMC feels and the narrator did an absolutely amazing job in that aspect. I am very picky when ot comes to female narratora but I am very happy that the FMC pov was very well done as well.

I also loved that the male roles were all read by the male narrator and the females roles by the female narrator. It made the book so much more enjoyable.

I look forward to future works by both narrators and author.

That was a work of art.

I have 2 thoughts about this book:
1. Joe Arden is an ACTOR
2. I need to find a therapist- I should not have liked this book as much as I did

Fast dark romance listen.

I’mstill new to the dark romance genre. So, here is how I took this book…

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The start wasn’t my fav, Olivia’s inner dialogue was a bit annoying. I get they’re foster siblings but she harped on a bit too much about him being her actual brother for me to really get into it… but that’s not my yum (no judgement to others btw).

Besides that I really enjoyed it.

Do you need to leave your morals at the door… as usual, yes.
Is the MMC completely unhinged, yes.
Was it a fast and enjoyable read? (in my case listen.) yes!
Did I have a good time, essentially yes.
The ending was really satisfying.

It does have a duet but I wouldn’t have known by reading the book, there’s obvious cliffhanger. I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t read before starting there was 2.

The audio was a great duet narration. Really worth listening to.

Maybe I’m broken

Well damn. I purchased because TT reviews said it was super dark and couldn’t process, yet I have never giggled whilst kicking my feet so hard. I had to go for a drive to scream at one part. I am genuinely concerned for my mental stability because this book was so well written for the CNC girlie in me. And the performers? 10/10. I need more unhinged, whimpering men. Thank you for writing this, I needed it in my life.

The narrators were perfection!

Oh my goodness what a RIDE! These narrators were amazing! The emotion the drama Christ the spice was amazing but check your triggers as this is definitely dark romance in my opinion. The “brother sister” scenario was definitely a level of can I handle this because “incest” is a massive thumbs down BUT technically it’s not and you get over it because I mean it was fucking HOT! Also Malachi is the most unhinged dark romance character I have read thus far and I’m so here for it!
