About this listen

In this steamy and intoxicating dark mafia romance, Wren Montana will do anything to save her brother – even make a bargain with the most dangerous man in Los Angeles.

Bane Rivera. My name is feared in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles. There is only one rule that I live by, only one rule that matters: never let a woman get in the way of business.

Then Wren Montana barged into my life demanding a pass for her brother's mistake. From the moment I saw her, I knew I had to have her. To claim her body, and her soul.

But she didn't make it easy. No, my Wren, my Little Bird, was strong. Every time she told me no, every time she walked away, it only fanned the flames of my need, consuming me...

Making me forget my one and only rule.

I was interested to see the dynamics between Wren and Bane, and other than something that happened with two dolls into the story, I enjoyed how the relationship developed. As soon as I read the words, I thought to myself,'Bane lied', but there was further clarification afterwards that made it technically true.

An interesting take on this type of storyline with some things unexpected, too.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The female voice actor was quite quietly spoken, which was fine until it came to the male version she did throughout Wren's chapters. The male voice actor did a good job of interpreting the characters.
