If you're after a storyline that enco.passes love, devastation, and grovelling, this is the book for you.

I enjoyed how the story starts at the beginning, with the relationship between Violet and Hoka developing before betrayal and devastation hits. It brought a lump to my throat that Violet experienced. The grovelling was epic and not over with and all forgiven in a chapter, which can sometimes happen.

Violet and Hoka as a couple were fantastic.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The voice actors were good, and I really appreciated the ease of the Japanese language throughout.

while theres not alot of depth to the world the characters live in, i truly enjoyed this series, and look foward to continuing the journey and maybe adding the HCs to my trophy shelf

surprisingly addictive

The narrators are flat and don't do the characters justice but the storyline was captivating. It keeps me wanting the next book in the series despite the lack of intimacy produced in book one. Sure there is intimacy, but not as frequent or intense as it should be for the dark romance reverse harem style of book it is. This book focuses more on the storyline to get the reader through to book 3 rather than to have the ability to be a standalone great read. A little disappointing but I'm still committed to seeing this through to the next book.

Didn’t finish the book. Just dragged on and left me bored. You can tell this is going to just lead on to the next book. I hate when books do this just to get you to buy the next book. This was not interesting or enjoyable. Don’t bother.
