this was one of the first romance novels I read when I first discovered the romance genre in my late teens. I was super excited to see an audible version so I picked it up to experience one of the books that hooked me on to this genre without thinking twice.. what a let down.

this narrators' attempt at any of the male characters made me want to bang my head against a wall and the fact that she turned me right off of some of my fave heroes makes me so sad. I love the Mallory family series and read them all, but if this listen through was my first experience of the series, I would've lost interest.
