This is a duet so it has a lot of s€x filler in it. There isn’t much of a story it’s just them having s€x all the time and I found myself hitting skip sometimes. Shame.

If you don’t like tropes like dom/sub and dark mafia- this is not your type of book- HOWEVER- for those like me that love that shit- get on this book! I have read and re read the Chicago ruthless books and decided I wanted to go back to the beginning of the ruthless books. Got to LA and loved getting to know these two characters. This is a duet so you have to remember the story goes through to the second book. Mafia stories always have dark themes and the good ones are MMC that are dark and dominating. Nobody wants a sweet softy mafia boss. 🤮no thank you. I love Sadie’s work and I love now reading her earlier ruthless work. If you want a good mafia series- Get on it!!!

Having loved another series by Sadie Kincaid, I decided to try this series.

I found the characters interesting and annoying at the same time. Alejandro seemed to throw mini tantrums while at the same time calling Alana out for doing the same. The way the 'punishments' were handled just seemed a bit off.

I didn't realise it was part of a duet when I picked this book up. I'm not sure if I'll move on to the second book.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good audio.
