About this listen

Stone Reeves was my neighbor, and I've hated him since sixth grade.

Gorgeous and charismatic, he became the town's football god, while I became the town's invisible girl.

He went to a Division 1 school for football, while my father was fired by his father.

His team won the National Championship, while my mother died the same day.

He was a first round pick for the NFL...

...while I made the worst decision of my life.

Now I'm in Texas trying to pick up the pieces of my life.

But, Stone is here.

Stone is everywhere.

It doesn't matter that disaster has struck my life again.

It doesn't matter that he's the one trying to console me.

It doesn't matter that he's the nation's newest football obsession.

Because for me, he always has been and always will be my enemy.

I went into the audiobook a little unsure, but the narration really surprised me—in the best way. The single narrator did an incredible job capturing Dusty’s emotional depth and vulnerability while still delivering Stone’s brooding intensity with just the right tone and restraint.

Even without a dual POV performance, the shifts between characters were clear and convincing. The emotional beats landed hard, especially during the more angsty or raw moments. If you’re on the fence about the audio, I’d say go for it—it added an extra layer of immersion to an already intense read.

WOW!!! This was and is an amazing read.

only thing I can say against it with the audible version is we need more stone with the husky voice of the voice actor. Other then that I love this book. It is in my top 3 of all time. ❤️❤️❤️

Oh My God! This book was amazing! I had to force myself to go to sleep while I was in bed listening to this. This is definitely in my list of favourites because the storyline just has so much hate and heartbreak but eventually there is so much love and laughter. I love the way Tijan writes her books because I am never disappointed with what I get. The enemies to lovers is serious and isn’t one of those books that make up straight away. I usually get so annoyed when that happens and I loved how this didn’t do that. If you are looking at the audiobook and wondering about the two narrators, I will just warn you that there are only two chapters that are in the point of view of Stone which was disappointing that there weren’t more but what there is just makes you savour it more and they are awesome two chapters in the book. This whole book was amazing to listen to and usually I have trouble writing in a review and just say some random things but this book is in my favourites because I think I could probably write at least a page on this book. I definitely don't regret reading this book and would recommend it to those that love this genre. I loved listening to this book!

ONE OF MY FAVOURITES!

I never go past a Tijan, I love the way that she tackles issues that affect so many people but are never spoken about openly.
Peachwood does most of the narration and is fantastic to listen to but when Clarke comes in you get a really good vibe of Stones character voice. Talk about masculinity in a voice.

A must listen to!
