About this listen

Welcome to Enchantra. There’s only one rule: Never, ever trust your heart.

When Genevieve Grimm’s mother is killed, Genevieve wants answers nobody can give… until she receives an invitation to Enchantra, a cursed palace filled with temptations and illusions.

Arrogant and dangerously handsome, Rowin Silver meets her at the door and refuses to let her inside. But Genevieve finds her own way in… And soon realizes her mistake.

Enchantra is a twisted labyrinth of marble and thorns, where Rowin’s family are trapped forever in a deadly game. Now, Genevieve must win or die.

Rowin offers her a deal. They can compete together… if they convince everyone watching that they’re desperately in love.

Genevieve knows she can’t trust Rowin, but she’ll do whatever it takes to survive. As they hunt and hide together, Genevieve tries to ignore the desire burning between them. She absolutely cannot fall for this man. Cannot forget that she’s only pretending to be in love.

After all, it was Rowin who taught her Enchantra’s first rule… Never, ever trust your heart.

Packed with deadly intrigue and spicy romance, Enchantra will transport you to a world of feisty heroines and morally gray love interests, fake dating, forbidden desire and family secrets. If you love books by Kerri Maniscalco, Carissa Broadbent and Lauren Roberts, prepare to discover your new romantasy obsession.

Editorial Review

The game she never meant to play
After all of the chaos that she caused for her older sister Ophelia in Phantasma, I couldn’t help but wonder what happened to Genevieve Grimm. So when I heard her story, Enchantra, was coming, I pre-ordered it immediately and patiently began my wait—which was so worth it! What starts as an Italian getaway quickly turns into a deadly game where losing means eternal damnation. Genevieve’s only hope? Rowin Silver, the infuriatingly handsome, impossibly guarded heir to the cursed family at the heart of it all. Forced into a fake courtship to survive, their chemistry simmers before exploding into something undeniable. That ending had me on edge, completely immersed in every moment—and now really excited for the next in the series. Laura Horowitz returns to narrate, making this world impossible to leave. —Patty R., Audible Editor

I absolutely loved Phantasma, but Enchantra left it in the dust. Characters, story, plot, performance, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Even better than Phantasma!

I didn’t think I would be into this as much as Phantasma but wow, eat my words. This is even better! I thought it was going to be a standard POV retelling but it’s picked up after the last story and the change of perspective is actually quite amazing. I relate to her a lot more than Ophelia. And the morally grey MMC enemies to lovers trope is chefs kiss. Plus, as always, narrator nailed it. Unsure why this release didn’t get as much hype as it deserved. Loved it!!!

Didn’t think I’d like Vivi

“Love, loathing. Same passion, different names.”

Wow!

Genevieve, you ARE spectacular! No filter, no games! Yelling at devils, challenging them, calling them names, girl you made me want to snap you, but I love you for it!

I loved seeing Genevieve explore her insecurities, slowly opening up to Rowin, and how they slowly built a genuine connection and trust.

I would have loved it more if it didn’t take a handsome shadow hubby for her to see that “Light isn’t something you need to chase, light is wherever you are.”

Genevieve’s struggles weren’t complex. She grew up being the less important daughter. Not for the lack of love from Mama Grimm or her sister Ophelia; yet it made her feel that she wasn’t that special. Her gifts, as well as her struggles, were unnoticed in the Grimm Manor.

Looking for recognition and connection outside her home, she had her heart broken, and she is a romantic. She wanted to love and be loved.

So yes, her struggles weren’t complex, but it made her that much more relatable.

Kaylie Smith shared that Genevieve’s moon sign is taurus. That means that she wants emotional security. Stability. Trust. Loyalty. Family. I’m so glad she “found” her family, and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for them!

Also, can we appreciate how Kaylie Smith created the characters with their star signs and absolutely aced it! Even the tiny little details like Genevieve getting easily angry, explosive, even snappy at devils, SO aries sun! Being impressed by her ex’s family wealth, thinking they can help with her mum’s finances, SO taurus moon!

Although I could predict what was going to happen, I still enjoyed this story and its wicked games.

“My soul is your soul. My heart is your heart. My blood is your blood. Eternally.”

FINALLY, a shout out to the voice actor Laura Horowitz! You absolutely smashed it, AGAIN! No doubt this will be one of the best Romantasy audiobooks of 2025!

Amazing performance and great story!

I had a very good time! I hate to say it but I enjoyed Genevieve’s story so much more the Ophelia’s (even though I enjoyed Phantasma).

This story and the characters had a lot more life, more substance, everything felt very dynamic, visually beautiful, and tragic just the right amount. 💯 recommend.

“Truth, truth, lie,” he told her.
Her heart skipped a beat.
You’re such a self-centered bastard. Truth. I deserve to be the center of my own story. Truth. I was not made for you. Lie.

I Loved it!!

When I realised the games and trials part of the story was going to be same but different to Phantasma, I wasn’t so sure—but it levelled up! I actually found the banter and overall energy between the games a bit more fun than Phantasma.

Genevieve has such a great and fun personality! One of my new fav FMCs for sure!

Rowan was just divine! And the piercings — Please and thank you!!!
