I prayed for a miracle for my daughter, but God sent me the devil in a three-piece suit instead. His price? My body, my soul, and ultimately my heart.
My little girl has a life-threatening heart condition, and I'd like to think I'd do anything to save her. Anything at all. But it's not until the most lucrative, shameful opportunity falls into my lap that I learn just how far I'll go to protect her.
The opportunity? A "full-service" executive assistant role through the discreet agency Seraph, putting my body and my soul at the mercy of a ruthless billionaire who has a reputation for eating women like me for breakfast: Brendan Sullivan.
He's disarmingly handsome, disgustingly wealthy, and disturbingly depraved. The things he has me do are beyond sinful, and I'm way out of my depth. He can never know that I'm just a desperate, duplicitous single mother and not the professional sexpot he thinks he's hired. He can never know just how terrified I am every time he and his debauched friends lay their hands on me. And he can definitely never know that, the more he corrupts me, the more he affects me.
I'm falling hard. Against all odds, this role seems less like a means to an end and more like a glimpse of the Happy Ever After I know he and I can never have.
Duplicity is a super spicy billionaire romance featuring the following tropes: Single mom, inexperienced FMC, reformed playboy and workplace romance. There is some group fun before Marlowe and Brendan find their monogamous HEA.

Brendan Sullivan absolutely stole my heart.
He’s charming, frustrating, impulsive, occasionally a complete billionaire toddler, and completely oblivious to the fact that he’s falling head over heels for Marlowe.
And Marlowe? She is everything. Strong, selfless, resilient, and willing to do absolutely anything for her daughter.
I loved the character development: watching Brendan slowly go from a man who always puts himself first to someone willing to do anything for Marlowe and her daughter was beautiful. The redemption arc, the emotional growth, the grand gestures, and the payoff at the end felt completely earned.
Elodie has this incredible ability to create characters that feel real. She doesn’t put them through challenges for the sake of it. Everything serves a purpose, and the emotional journey is always worth it.
And then there’s Shane East and Zara Hampton-Brown.These two are audiobook magic together. The chemistry feels effortless. The humour lands, the emotional moments hit hard, the heat is off the charts, and every interaction between Brendan and Marlowe feels natural and authentic. I’ve loved these two narrators together for years, and Duplicity is genuinely one of my favourite performances from them.
This audiobook completely consumed me.
Brendan Sullivan is officially one of my all-time favourite book boyfriends.
An easy five stars.
