***Spoiler Warning: If you have not listened to Twisted Soul, beware. This blurb contains spoilers.***
I’m a demigod who was raised in hell. Now the gods say I earned the right to join them in Paradise.
But an eternally peaceful existence as a goddess? Hard pass. Especially if it means I would never get to see them again.
My thoughtful, merciless fae necromancer. My charmingly ferocious dragon shifter. My dreamy, unhinged Nightmare Prince. And my beautifully brutal ice elemental.
These legacies are mine, and I refuse to let them go without a fight.
Which is why I found a way to return to the mortal realm, even if I don’t remember what I did—yet. My memories of Paradise are returning slowly as I try to bring my quintet back from their twisted, broken madness.
I thought they were obsessed with me before, but now? These cursed legacies are deliciously heartless when it comes to protecting me. The feeling is completely mutual.
But if my quintet wants any kind of future together, I first need to fix the wreckage that I left the mortal world in.
Darkness, obsession, bloodshed, battle, divine vengeance, death… It certainly sounds like the start of a happily ever after to me.
Intended for 18+ listeners due to very strong language, graphic violence, dark themes, and explicit sex scenes, including group sex (no M/M). Please see the trigger warnings first. Book 4 of 4. No AI content here.
©2025 Morgan B Lee (P)2025 Morgan B LeeCassandra King, Isaac Epinal, Jonathan Waters, Benjamin Sands and Silas Hart bring so much personality to this finale, but Cassandra King deserves a special mention for the sheer range she shows.
Maven has such a deliberately flat, almost bored delivery, yet King somehow manages to evolve that voice across the series so you can hear the emotion underneath the emotional detachment. Then she switches into Kensie’s bright, peppy, completely over-the-top energy and genuinely sounds like an entirely different narrator.
And Isaac Epinal as Crypt Delune continue to be utter perfection. Crypt is already one of my all-time favourite MMCs, but Epinal makes his obsessive, rapturous devotion to Maven even better. Every line between them lands exactly as it should, and I genuinely do not care how many times he says “my dark little darling.” I will swoon every time.
The performances also elevate some of the strongest character arcs in the book. Frost really shines here, particularly through the anxiety and trauma left by losing Maven and his quintet, while Baelfire and his feral dragon are genuinely heartbreaking.
The story itself moves at a relentless pace. This is go, go, go from the beginning, with action, emotion and spice balanced beautifully. Just as importantly, the cast sells the relationships between the MMCs themselves. You can hear how far this quintet has come since Book 1, and that makes the found-family payoff incredibly satisfying.
An incredible finale, an exceptionally talented full-cast production and an audiobook I found almost impossible to pause!
