I gave up sleep for this book and read it in 1.5 days. It was so dark and violent I thought it would be too much but underneath one of my favourite love story’s blossoms into something I now need. But as the violence escalates so does the story of where it comes from. And this storyline ties it all together so wonderfully. I am going to be sad now that Cole and Blaze’s story has ended.

Chokehold is an intense, dark romance about two stepbrothers Blaise & Cole who supposedly hate each other.But one night, one game & one mask changes everything. This story has some heavy themes, so please check the trigger warnings before diving in. Also, the first 30% of the book features a significant amount of MF sexual content, which might not appeal to all readers primarily seeking MM romance. Having read the book and now experienced it again through audio, I've developed an even greater appreciation for it.Both narrators delivered powerful performances, bringing depth, emotion, and nuance to Blaise and Cole's characters. This enhanced the storytelling and made the book even more enjoyable.whether you have read the book before or not, I'd highly recommend this audiobook if you love dark romances.

Honestly this was such a WTF whirlwind! If you like toxicity unhinged people you’ll love it.

It starts dark - There is no one in here that isn’t an a-hole… no one. Parents, friends, girlfriends. I’ve never read anything like it. They are all so vile and are all playing each other.

BUT…

Then things start to shift and the drama and chaos was electric and OMG. I did. Not. Know. What. Was. Going. To. Happen. Next. The ending was awesome.

The relationship between these two was gorgeous and 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
