Couldn't get over the narrator, ruined it for me. The story is a bit of naughty fun. Buy the kindle book, don't bother with the audible.

I read one negative review on this story, but decided to give it a go anyhow… so glad that I did. It was hot, steamy and down right hilarious.

In the wake of 50 Shades of Grey and its success, publishers have been scrambling to pick up previously self-published fan-fiction and novels, repackage it and sell it to wider audiences. And as judgmental as some book lovers have been on this, you can’t deny the success of EL James, Sylvia Day, Jamie McGuire, Kristen Ashley etc. Let's face it people, a good story is a good story no matter its origins. I am not a snob when it comes to books, if I like it - I like it and I really don’t care from ‘whence’ it came.
Beautiful Bastard is a one of those books I absolutely couldn’t read fast enough and the audio is no different. I screamed at my family to leave me alone, I hid in my room and ignored all else! I absolutely loved the sexual tension and banter back and forth between these two characters (Chloe & Bennet). I laughed a lot more than I expected, between the sniping back and forth and the pure situational humor, I was laughing out loud. And also I loved that this was a dual POV story. And its HOT! Scorchingly so..The narration is PERFECT! And the second books narration is even better! Let me add if you love this first book in the Beautiful Bastard Series then you’re in for a treat because they just get better as they go, I loved Sarah and Max’s story even more in no 2 -Beautiful Stranger. So YAY! A new series for me and I recommend you jump on this one with me and enjoy!

I'm going to be frank -- this book is not serious.

Yet I have listened to it multiple times because it is HILARIOUS. Every re-listen I am in hysterics -- a little awkward when I'm on the train.

I really enjoyed Chloe as a protagonist -- she was very headstrong and never afraid to stand up for herself. I felt as though she may have overreacted but it's a small oversight. Bennett is really a bastard, but I'm a sucker for beautiful bastards in romantic novels. Plus, the sex scenes and OHMAHFLIPPIN SEXY *drool* but are (in my opinion) not overdone or forced.

It's not a serious piece of literature -- but who reads new adult fiction to analyse plot.
Very enjoyable, especially for an escape -- would recommend to a friend.
