I think that the story lacks a certain amount of plausibility in connecting events. Perhaps a little to Cussler-ish on development. But don't let that..Show More » put you off. Lawhead has a unique skill for connecting myth with history. He doesn't fall for the reductionist surmising of the majority of academic historians, whose notions are both fanciful and misjudge human nature. This book is a worth while read, and his other works yet more so.
