The Now of WhyMe and finding the light through the darkness with Rosalyn Khan

  • Summary

  • Today’s guest is Rosalyn Khan of A message for tomorrow’s leaders. Rosalyn has written three books - Random acts of kindness are changing the world all about mastering the message with passion and purpose, Dogs and Roses reducing stress and anxiety in today’s troubled times which was born out of Rosalyn’s own experiences with depression, and a message from tomorrow’s leaders -  a collection of essays from individuals which started pre-COVID and evolved into something very different throughout the resulting year.Rosalyn and I had a chat a little while ago about this episode and with her background as a college professor and many speaking experiences including TedX stages, I was quite struck at how much WhyMe has been at the centre of her life up to now. Starting with growing up with scoliosis, she has learned to roll with the ups and downs. As she herself has talked about finding the light through the darkness, I wonder how much we sometimes need to know the darkness in order to recognise the power of illumination with light?Like many of you listening in, Rosalyn has lived with the ever changing landscape of a world which is evolving in front of our eyes whether we are ready for it or not. I had a feeling when she messaged me a few weeks ago that as her WhyMe moments have shifted, so too has her current focus and motivation, just like the book a message for tomorrow’s leaders. As a leader herself, I am keen to uncover some of the layers that make Rosalyn tick and why she devotes so much time and passion to helping others.I am particularly excited to discover where Rosalyn and my conversation will go today, and with the title being named “The NOW of WhyMe”, I welcome you to the WhyMe podcast. You can contact Rosalyn at her website. Do you know the difference between and dream and a goal? Spoiler alert! It's the movement! The action you take.
