Welcome to How To: Manage Your Mind

Episode 02 - How To: Find Purpose at Work, with Matthew Cameron

Matthew's journey into helping others feel purpose at work started with him sitting on the edge of his bed ready to give up on life altogether. He was once the kind of employee that companies put their systems and support structures in place for, hoping to help him grow and thrive. Yet somehow, he still managed to slip through the cracks. He has experienced first-hand the devastating impact that a negative work environment can have on an individual. It was a journey that led him from a dedicated employee to rock bottom, but through self-discovery and research, he now has the tools to help businesses prioritise their employees’ well-being and retention. It’s not about flashy perks or grand gestures; it’s about creating a culture that fosters happiness, motivation, and productivity. In this episode, John and Matthew explore how to find purpose in your work, why identifying your values is key to a fulfilling career, how to apply self-compassion and the importance of not being a d*ck.
