  • Ep 70: Reframing Failure
    May 7 2024
We typically have a strong aversion to identifying as a failure. Many of us learned to fear failure at an early age because it meant an ocean of disempowering beliefs about ourselves. The word fail is laced with judgment and shame. And this has been passed down for generations. But what if we recreated our relationship to failure? How would our way of being shift? How much more could we grow? In this episode, we discuss nuances surrounding failure. Disempowering relationship to failure Failure defined early on including through public education Failing vs. being a failure Patience and failure Reframing relationship to words Pivoting Learning to accept paradox as a broader reframe ------------------------- Connect with Jeff: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching Connect with Tatsu: Website: https://tatsuyafushimicoaching.carrd.co/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuya-fushimi-acc-0513a22/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 68: What’s The Vulnerable Support You Need?
    Apr 23 2024
How practiced are you at asking for support? How clear are you about the support you actually need? Many of us are conditioned to be good at giving help and offering it but not at receiving help or asking for it. Offering to give help and asking to receive help are doorways to deeper connection and intimacy. However, an overall imbalance in giving and receiving support can create depletion and stagnation of energy. Further, getting supported on a surface level is entirely different from on a deeper vulnerable level. Vulnerability in asking for support Being clear on what you need Costs of not being supported From fully supported in the womb to not needing full support afterwards Shame and support Expectations and independence Self-judgment and judgment from others Saying “Yes” to support Simply sharing what you’re up to can invite support ------------------------- Connect with Jeff: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching Connect with Tatsu: Website: https://tatsuyafushimicoaching.carrd.co/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuya-fushimi-acc-0513a22/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 65: Desire...Don't Get It Twisted
    Apr 2 2024
Desire is a powerful driver that gets us moving in a certain direction. And we often attach an end goal to it to pursue. Therefore, it is understandable that desire can lead us to frustration, disappointment, or disempowerment if the goal was not reached or was anti-climactic. Desire is often misunderstood as true love and can point us to coping mechanisms that attempt to fill unmet needs. It can be a powerful practice to take an honest look at what we are desiring and what it is that we truly deeply want. Desire vs. true love Basic wants and deep wants Longing, lust, infatuation Chasing things that are outside of ourselves What do you desire now? • Ep 64: What's Your Life's Purpose?
    Mar 26 2024
When we think about purpose, we typically think about what we are doing and an outcome or goal. It is typically externally focused. For example, raising kids, career choice, buying a house, exercising for good health, etc. But when we reach the goal, we often find ourselves asking “What’s next?” And the external chase continues. So, what is at the core of what we want in life? In other words, what is our unique quality of being that we most want to give to the world? In this episode, we discuss the importance of moving into deeper layers of our purpose. Purpose is like a 7-layer dip What are we choosing and why? Purpose as a quality of being vs. doing Transitioning to deeper layers of purpose Embodying what you actually want in life The spiritual journey is key Deeper purpose enhances everything you do in life ------------------------- Connect with Jeff: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching Connect with Tatsu: Website: https://tatsuyafushimicoaching.carrd.co/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuya-fushimi-acc-0513a22/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi
