BMT EP 141: NYC Run Club Series featuring Witold's Runners

  • Summary

  • Join the conversation as Dr. Sean Thomas begins a year long series featuring the amazing groups who make up the NYC running club culture. This week's featured Club is Witold's Runners. Witold’s Runners was established in 1983 by nationally ranked runner and NYRR icon Witold Bialokur, who is the coach and inspiration. For 40 years, Witold’s Runners remains a highly competitive club and his philosophy continues through generations as members coach and mentor each other. Diverse backgrounds in personal training, fitness, yoga, kinesiology, sports and dance, contribute to building a well-rounded training program. Year after year, members of the team are nominated and chosen for NYRR age-group Team and Runners of the Year awards. Members show up for every race prepared to compete thanks to the guidance and leadership of Witold, who runs with the team at workouts and races. The team competes at a high level at all races and often places in the top ten in masters and above age-group categories.
