The roller coaster finale

What did you like most about The Death Cure?

It was so intense I needed a seat belt. It was an excellent finish to one incredibly well written trilogy and I loved it. My review of The Maze runner is for all 3 books.

What other book might you compare The Death Cure to, and why?

Like I have said about the other books I hate comparing novels but if I had too I'd say Divergent meets The 5th Wave

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The ending, I thought it was a great finish but it literally had me sweating.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes I did, it stayed with me and not many books do, it's stuck in my system and I still can't stop thinking about it.

Any additional comments?

The narrator Mark Deakins is the best Audiobook reader I've ever come across.

I'd like James Dashner to maybe consider the possibility of returning to the trilogy to write a book about what happens to them a few years down the track. Most authors never do this but I think this is possible to write a stand alone 10-20 for this book. I also have never felt this way about a series either. It could make for one excellent novel, even just a one off epic.

The end of a torturous journey.

This book was hard to finish, I was so tired, but I couldn't stop. Just like its predecessors it is non stop aniexty as you want the Gladers to survive. Though the end left me with such mixed emotions after much thought and contemplation I can't imagine it ending any other way.

Poor finish to the series

I loved the first two books, couldnt put them down. This was not the fitting finale I was hoping for. I struggeled to get into it. I started getting frustrated by and disliking the main character by what he did. I disliked how both the main character and the author treated Teresa in this book.

A real shuck book story about shanks

The word count for shuck and shanks made up about 10% of the word count for the whole series. Well, maybe not that much but it did feel like it. Characters were always angry. Movie storyline and book plots have massive differences. Glad to have finally finished the audio books

Good ending!

I wouldn't say that the series was incredible but I enjoyed it enough and am glad to say pushing through to the last book paid off!
Gosh so many tugs at the heart strings in this one!
