In this companion volume to A Wrinkle in Time (Newbery Award winner) and A Wind in the Door fifteen-year-old Charles Wallace and the unicorn Gaudior undertake a perilous journey through time in a desperate attempt to stop the destruction of the world by the mad dictator Madog Branzillo. They are not alone in their quest.

Disappointed, and just couldn't finish it.
As a huge fan of A Wrinkle in Time, I was so disappointed in A Swiftly Tilting Planet. It was weird, and kept following other characters, when all I wanted was a true adventure with Charles Wallace. I kept listening for much longer than I should have, and once I realised that no-one was forcing me to listen and that I just didn't care how it ended, I turned it off and have no desire to finish it (1hr 30mins left on it). I won't be getting anything else by this author. I'm calling Wrinkle a one-hit wonder.
