Publisher's Summary

Pirates and slavers beware. The Spacemage is coming for you!

All Thorn wanted was to be a Battle Mage. He had the talent, and his whole future was before him. On the day of Choosing, he finds things don't always go as planned. Suddenly Thorn's life is thrown into fast forward, and he finds himself in a world not of his own choosing.

In a world of spaceships and blasters, instead of horses and swords, Thorn needs to adapt and survive, make new allies, and rediscover that although nothing is familiar, he's still a Mage, and pirates and slavers beware.

Yesterday is history, and today he's become Yesterday's Spacemage.

Worth the time for a free book

A book meant for young adults/teens, it does alright. Towards the start the character dynamics are a little stiff and the plot uses quite a bit of exposition. Both the author and narrator didn’t always flow with the conversation or ideas though for the most part isnt an issue.
The book is somewhat ’un-complicated’ so don’t expect things to get super indepth but was still enjoyable.

An excellent read

I was totally submersed in the book, great to listen to on my daily commute. Can't wait to read more.

One of the best audio books I’ve heard in a long time

I was looking for another series to start and found this one, I will admit I clicked on it because the cover reminded me of stargate.
Cleaver, funny and alittle non PG

On to the next book in the series

seemingly written by a teenager

The story had potential but the stereotypical 'tough female' characters show this author hasn't had much interaction with women, or only sees them as 2D.
Lots of congratulating the main fella for having the bare minimum of decency.
Overall cringe, couldn't finish as it kept giving me the ick
