The Cosmic Doctrine
- By: Dion Fortune
- Narrated by: John Marino
- Length: 6 hrs and 34 mins
- Unabridged
-
Overall
-

-
Story
The Cosmic Doctrine is a condensed blueprint outline of God’s manifestation in this creation. Complex indeed! But what has tended to bother some about the Cosmic Doctrine teaching has been the almost total emphasis in explaining evolution simply as being the psychic nuts and bolts of God. Leaving one with the impression that God may be reduced from a Great and Infinite Being to a kind of mechanical Newtonian clockwork. However there is much more to it than that.

He then explores the practice of rituals themselves, unpacking Crowley’s often opaque writing and offering his own commentary. Step by step, and in plain English, he presents a course of study with examples of rituals and explanations of their significance.

Bhakti yoga is a real, genuine search after the Lord, a search beginning, continuing, and ending in love. One single moment of the madness of extreme love to God brings us eternal freedom. “Bhakti is greater than karma, greater than yoga, because these are intended for an object in view, while Bhakti is its own fruition, its own means, and its own end.”

Story
Each of us has a dual nature: we are light (conscious) and dark (unconscious). The dark side of our personality - the “other,” the shadow side - is made up of what we think is our primitive, primal, negative impulses - our “existential kink.” Our existential kink also drives the dark or negative repeating patterns in our life: always choosing the abusive partner or boss, settling for less, thinking that we’re undeserving, not worthy. But it also is the source of our greatest power.

Amazing book
- By Eva on 25-10-2020
Publisher's Summary
A sublime book of 31 poems written by Frater Achad.
This edition has been fully and completely digitally remastered to be as close to the now out-of-print original. It is a loving work of art dedicated to the memory of the author.
Frater Achad was an occultist and ceremonial magician. An early aspirant to AA (the 20th to be admitted as a Probationer in December 1909) who "claimed" the grade of Magister Templi as a Neophyte, he also became an OTO initiate, serving as the principal organizer for that order in British Columbia.
He worked under a variety of mottos and pseudonyms, including VIO (Unus in Omnibus, "One in All," as an AA Probationer), OIVVIO, VIOOIV, Parzival (as an Adeptus Minor and OTO Ninth Degree), and Tantalus Leucocephalus (as 10th Degree OTO), but he is best known under his Neophyte motto Achad (Hebrew "unity", אחד), which he used as a byline in his various published writings.
