Publisher's Summary

Dhane kicked the bucket in spectacular fashion, every bone crushed, every organ popped against the full force of a 40-ton garbage truck speeding through a red light.

The only part of him intact—whole—entirely unaffected by the grisly affair was his soul. Souls are durable things, you see, like kids: they bounce.

And bounce he did, into the abyss between worlds, drifting until one excited soul watcher fished him out and found him a new home, a heaven for gamers and nerds and everything in between.

It was all he could have ever wanted in the afterlife, down to choosing his class, killing mobs, and exploring a beautiful fantasy world chock full of mysteries yet to be discovered.

At least…it would have been those things if that first day had gone a little tiny bit differently.

Instead, he now finds himself locked in the middle of an eternal conflict between Light and Shadow—humans and monsters—potentially being the enemy to all.

Wrong Divinity is the start of a new GameLit series that balances comedy with serious themes. It's an isekai—a portal fantasy—to the spirit realm. Join Dhane, our underdog, as he explores his new world, a world full of unique characters, RPG mechanics, and spiders—ugly, terrifying spiders—while he learns what it means to be an Arachnomancer.

Good idea bad MC

The world is a cool idea and the over all story is a interesting concept, and to be honest if the MC wasn’t a dumbass id really like this book.

Spoiler warning here:
This is the first incident where you realise what a retard the MC is. he needs to re enter the city after dark which is illegal he doesn’t even check where the guards are on the wall or if it’s even a good idea to ride I giant fucking spider up the walls and is immediately spotted and a chase ensues..

I’m not saying a MC needs to be all knowing or a badass of action I actually like meek characters.but this is just ridiculous how dumb this MC is and I couldn’t listen past 4 hours

I still gave a 4 star review because the idea and world were cool and it’s just my opinion on the MC and I believe the author could do some good works and don’t want to detract from that

MC is an idiot

who gets put in a game world and take 3 days to look at the basic mechanics like stats or class skills. what kind of bugged game world has such a dumb tutorial. it's so meh and not well thought out, it feels like the author was just making it up as he went. too many litrpgs don't have well established rules like real games and it makes the world building feel sloppy. this is a ok book if you're ok with being 3 hour into the book for him to get his first skill, 6 hours to get to level 2. plus he dies more then he kills anything he is the most useless MC I've ever seen

Overall good buuuut...

I enjoyed this book, i don't think it was worth the credit, 10 hours for it, but overall i enjoyed it. The humor is often fun and it starts out strong and the characters sticking with themselves (i.e. not suddenly changing for plot) is very refreshing. The narrator also absolutely nails it as well, especially for a more slow character.

On the other hand, the bad stuff is small but frustrating. For most of the story the MC is barely able to do anything, they are pretty much forced to do things the entire book up until the last 2 hours and with them only ever reacting it can be frustrating. On top of that there are so many Chekov guns in here it's crazy. Small things that come up, feel like they might be a plot point, then never come up again. Thirdly they are given this ability to hide from others and it feels like the author got bored of doing that and said fuck it about 6 hours in because now everyone knows about them. Finally, when they do get stronger it feels... disingenuous for a lot of reasons.

I GET why the stuff in the book happens, honestly, it feels natural as life (or death) is never fair. However this do be fantasy land and it'd be nice if sometimes things worked out for the MC
