Story
The Cows is a powerful novel about three women. In all the noise of modern life, each needs to find her own voice. It's about friendship and being female. It's bold and brilliant. It's searingly perceptive. It's about never following the herd. And everyone is going to be talking about it.

Best friends tell each other everything. Or do they?
Georgia and Lydia are so close they're practically sisters. So when Lydia starts an online business that struggles, Georgia wants to help her - but she also understands Lydia's not the kind to accept a handout.
Setting up a fake Twitter account, Georgia hopes to give her friend some anonymous moral support by posing as a potential customer. But then Lydia starts confiding in her new internet buddy, and Georgia discovers she doesn't know her quite as well as she thought.
Georgia knows she should reveal herself, but she's fascinated by this insight into her friend's true feelings. Especially when Lydia starts talking about her. Until Lydia reveals a secret that could not only end their friendship but also blow up Georgia's marriage.

Another strong Jane Fallon read!
Love this book. Jane Fallon is a brilliant author. Read is generally good but the secondary VO mispronounces the protagonist’s kids name. I found this a significant oversight! But a great story

Long dull and with self indulgent main characters
This started out ok - ish but went downhill fairly fast. The two main protagonists are immensely self obsessed and entitled. Found myself wishing it was over. There is poor character development- none of the characters have any appealing personalities and the premise of the ‘deception’ is ridiculous. The narration was equally irritating- particularly the voice of the main opponent and the voice of the husband is dreadful. Give it a miss, much better written examples of the genre out there, and much better performances. Should have stopped instead of going through to the end.

Lol moments
This book is intriguing from the start, fantastic characters that bring the story to life. Plenty of thoughtful emotional moments along with burst of laughing out loud, waking my husband. I loved it. Light & easy

Oh hell what a load of bollocks
I can go on this story is rubbish. These characters are so childish……..so stupid I’d like to slap the lead protagonist. No more of these silly stories.
Just stop!!!!

Improbable Story with Unlikeable Characters
Certainly not one of Fallon’s better novels. The underdeveloped emotional responses and improbable reactions of the main characters make it difficult to persist with this book
A 21 year long marriage nearly ends because of immature emotional reactions via social media! This is the main event of the book which becomes harder and harder to believe
Fallon usually writes excellent revenge stories where one delights in the obvious wrong do-er getting their just desserts. In this totally unbelievable story, there is a rather limp, moralising conclusion and message
It is as if the author is trying hard to be charitable to all her characters but ends up with a rather anodyne product
My suggestion- don’t bother with this one, but try one of Fallon’s past excellent novels

Couldn't finish
I thought the premise looked fun and it could have gone in so many interesting directions. Instead, it rolled out a tired, predictable story line that became more unlikely as it continued. The plot relies on a lack of communication, which just makes it very frustrating to listen to.

Frustrating
While initially its easy to get into and doesn’t take much attention to grasp the storyline it becomes frustrating and predictable early on. The main characters are wish-washy and I found myself confused at multiple points by the choices, the same person who is confrontational at one point describes being powerless at another and it is jarring. Not worth reading if I’m honest.
