Useful points on fasting and cell biochemistry

As a chemist, enjoyed listening to this book. first few chapters feel like a simplified brief review of cell biochemistry.
I also liked the statistics, maths, and other information on the mechanisms of some of the reactions in living cells.
Narrator voice is clear and pronounciation of technical terms and biomolecule names is fantastic.

Great

Fascinating synthesis of research around dietary factors for aging and disease. Even if you don't take it all in and find yourself losing concentration occasionally (not gonna lie, that's me), you'll still walk away from this audiobook having opened a door in your knowledge that questions and information will pour through. If Clement's hypothesis is correct, this line of research and its practical consequences to health are extremely important and could be life-changing.

Interesting

Well researched and the author is clearly passionate about this method, though a great deal of his ideas are not for me.

I enjoy reading these types of books as I enjoy a healthy lifestyle. This is more a guide to keep fresh and get some new ideas. Some worthwhile and interesting points are made, others not so much.

What an insightful look at nutrition and health

James really nails the topic of autophagy and its importance to health and lifespan. He does such a great job at explaining why diet strategies work and when, and for how long, they can be used to target a planned schedule of states in the body to gain the most benefit from the nutritional intake of each.

A must read for people who want to live a healthy

A well researched book on lifestyle. This is one of the best books I've read on health, fasting and weight loss and maintaining good health. A must read to understand the need for maintaining good health.

Some great info

Basically all the info on intermittent fasting repeated. If you are looking for a program this is great but if you are looking for an entertaining way to educate yourself on this subject, this is a little boring.

Logical and Fact based

I loved the level of references in the book, and that they were reference that you could easily look up to verify yourself.

The book reads in a logical order that makes understanding the science behind it all smooth learning.

I will definitely be trying out the tips in this book and reading it again to refresh my memory in a years times.

Should have been called the turn off

Unfortunately this is more a lesson in Evolution than any diet help. He waffles on so much that you are waiting till the end of the book for the point to be made and then it still doesn't happen. Very disappointing.
