I love Peter Kay and listening to him narrate his life story was every bit as enjoyable as I thought it would be, he kept me company in the car to and from work and had me laughing like an idiot, great story

Better than Garlic Bread

This book is a delight. It’s become my comfort book for when I’m having a crap day. Peter’s interjections on his own story are pretty hilarious too.

If you love Peter Kay, you’ll love this book.

If You Need A Giggle Listen To This!

What a fantastic audio book. Peter Kay often goes off script and just chats with the reader…extra funny moments and more detailed backgrounds of various characters. What a warm and lovely man he is. Truly one of a kind. Being from Australia I wasn’t really familiar with his work, but after hearing this I have devoured all his work on YouTube. Best audible book ever.🥰

Very entertaining, if very "regional"

I thoroughly enjoyed this auto-biographical comedy. Many of the references are very specific to the region (NW of England) and also the era (70s - 90s) which means that some of it would probably lost on listeners from other regions and especially other countries or those born in the 90s and after. However, I am not one of those. I was born late 60s in the NW so the humour and references really resonated with me. Recommended.
