Story
Tess is feeling burnt out from her uninspiring job and her busy city lifestyle. Even her personal relationships make her feel as if she's simply drifting through life rather than living it to the full. Her godmother Luna, who leads a very simple existence in a rustic cottage in the North Queensland rainforest, is also at something of a crossroads. Keen to expand her jewellery-making business, she needs the new connections that a bustling city offers. When she suggests to Tess that the two of them might swap homes for an extended period, it seems the perfect solution.

From glamorous pre-war Singapore to a vast cattle property in Queensland, this sweeping, emotional saga follows three strong women as they learn how to live and love.

A beautiful book!
I can't think of a more beautiful story to be written with its background in Townsville and Western Queensland. These areas are very familiar to me. As an added coincidence my pioneer ancestors (to North Queensland) came from Devon.
I loved this book!

Great story and wonderful narrator
What a fantastic story. Just the right amount of romance, just the right amount of drama, just the right amount of history and suspense and everything really. First Barbara Hannay book and I'm already a fan. The narrator is very talented. Switches characters flawlessly and does great voices and accents. It really sounded like different people were reading the chatacters parts.
