Story
As the Sunrise weatherman, Sam Mac has bungee jumped, swum with sharks, got his cat on the cover of Pussweek magazine, taken his mum to the Logies when he was nominated for gold, stripped naked for The Real Full Monty and even recorded a song with The Wiggles. But, ultimately, his job is about people - from primary schoolers to pensioners, Sam's gift is how he connects with them all. Story
Nowhere on our planet is devoid of life. Plants and animals thrive or survive within every extreme of climate and habitat that it offers. Single species, and often whole communities, adapt to make the most of ice cap and tundra, forest and plain, desert, ocean and volcano. These adaptations can be truly extraordinary. In Living Planet, David Attenborough’s searching eye, unfailing curiosity and infectious enthusiasm explain and illuminate the intricate lives of the these colonies.

Story
And so begins Doug Avery's story of emotional resilience in the face of what at times seemed a hopeless situation. The South Island farmer suffered terribly during eight years of drought. His farm was depleted and so was he, to the point of severe depression. The Resilient Farmer is Doug's powerful example of how to get life back on track. With candour and wisdom, he tells his story of turning desperation into determination, embracing risk, navigating change and, on top of everything, enduring monumental earthquakes.

Story
It was an ordinary day in 2016. In Gatwick Airport, Jonathan and his wife, Anna, were having breakfast with their two little children while waiting for their flight to be called. And then it happened, a familiar sensation that Jonathan hadn't had for decades: an out-of-body experience that transported him to another place, the safe place he used to escape to in his mind when he was a boy.

Publisher's Summary
All aboard the Scomo Express as our hero pulls back the lid on the life and times of one of history's great leaders and humbly serves up a steaming meat pie of everyman wisdom for the hungering masses. These are the unofficial chronicles of Scotty's first 18 months in his new role as head honcho of the largest marketing firm in the country - the Australian federal government - as it unfolded, completely devoid of any self-aggrandisement, doublespeak, sleight of hand or other dirty shenanigans played by the Opposition.
Thrill as the man who put the Scotty into Marketing tells how he honed his Sharkies lovin', beer drinkin', God fearin', cap wearin', Daggy Dad alter ego and used it to such miraculous effect. Marvel at how he developed such classic slogans as 'The Bill Australia can't afford', 'I'm listening. I'm hearing. I'm doing' and the immortal 'If you have a go, you'll get a go'.
Like an egg to the back of your head, you will be blindsided by the rush of adrenaline as the Boy from Bronte waltzes from the boardroom to the world stage, becoming besties with The Donald, all while keeping the Lucky Country lucky, the Newspolls honest and the Prince of Darkness from reanimating himself in the form of backstabbing Coalition aspirants. From the inner-workings of BORDERFORCE!T, to what really happened at the Engadine Maccas, this candid, compelling and completely unofficial diary is your backdoor access to the halls of power. With all that sweat, blood and cheers, who wouldn't deserve a tropical holiday?

Brilliant
Hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I know it is satire but I suspect ScoMo really is the self absorbed "Scotty from marketing" described

I laughed and laughed....and then cried!!
This is the result of the wonderful creative talents of Gleenslade and Gleenslade. How good is that!!?? This was so enjoyable, with Francis Greenslade's narration perfect for Scomo - I often forget it wasn't the PM himself. The way the diary is written is so believeable and funny, but sadly many of the anecdotes are true, just told from Scomo's own skewed perspective. The diary is the first 18 month's of Scomo's "reign" including the May 2019 Federal election. We are currently in another May election campaign where Scomo is using his charm and marketing skills to work at being re-elected as PM, so it felt like I had Scomo in my ear narrating what I am currently hearing on the news. It was all a bit too close to the sad reality.
