The Hardy Boys: The Missing Chums

The Hardy Boys, Book 4

By Franklin W. Dixon

Narrated by Gary D. MacFadden

The Missing Chums is the fourth book in the original Hardy Boys series. Chet and Biff, friends of Frank and Joe Hardy, depart for a long-planned boating excursion, but mysteriously disappear in a storm. The Hardy Boys fear the worst when they can find nothing but a small amount of wreckage along the course Chet and Biff were to follow.

Suddenly, Frank and Joe's mother receives a ransom note—for them! Reasoning that this has something to do with the disappearance of Chet and Biff, the Hardy Boys set out for Blacksnake Island, over the stern objections of their visiting Aunt Gertrude. Once at the island, the Hardy Boys meet up with the notorious Baldy Turk and will need to use all of their skills—and call on not a little bit of luck—to escape from Blacksnake Island along with their missing chums.
