brilliant 👏
the best resource I have found up to date on writing a memoir. Marion cleared up confusion with her clarity and sparkling points on memoir writing. it turned the light bulb on for me, giving me the confidence to keep going with a lightness and understanding about how to keep writing my story about family violence and women's health. Witty, funny direct approach with a heart, love it. fantastic. I have listened over and over, and each time, I have learned something new. This is the clarity and confirmation I have been seeking for the last 3 yrs since escaping an abusive marriage.

Best book on memoir writing
Marion Roach Smith has given invaluable guidelines for memoir writing. With humour and a fabulous writing style she leads the bewildered hopeful from “How do I ever get my story written?” to “Ahh, I see. That’s how it’s done!” I enjoyed every word and can now begin the writing, dipping back into this audio book when necessary. She reads so very well and from the heart.
