In the realm of visualizations, there are both externally based visuals where one uses an actual external object as a focal point, as well as inner creative visualizations where one creates an image within the mind's eye. In addition, there are also awareness practices with which one learns to become aware of what already exists within the inner screen of the mind's eye.

Story
Achieving a sense of self-mastery and inner freedom demands that we gain a measure of hegemony over our thoughts. We learn to choose our thoughts so we are not at the mercy of whatever burps up to the mind, thus transforming a cluttered mind into a peaceful inner state of awareness. Through quieting the mind and conscious breathing, we can slow the onrush of anxious, scattered thinking and come to a deeper awareness of the interconnectedness of all of life.

Not feeling well on the Jewish New Year in September 1991, the Rabash summoned his prime disciple and personal assistant, Michael Laitman, to his bedside and handed him that notebook. Its cover contained only one word, "shamati (I heard)". As he handed the notebook, he said to Laitman, "Take it and learn from it." The following morning, he perished in his student's arms, leaving him and many of his other disciples without guidance in this world.

Gateway to Unity and Faith is one of the clearest and most enduring works on the meaning of "G-d is one" from a Chasidic point of view. Through carefully reading traditional texts, the author radically reimagines the meaning of Jewish Monotheism and imparts a sense of nearness and direct accessibility to G-d, beyond the confines of religious practice. Volume Two is a complete and independent work which stands on its own and does not require the prior study of Volume One.

Well researched, thoughtful and enriching
What a wonderfully well researched and comprehensive book on life after life! I’ve learnt so much and now it’s left me yearning to learn more. Terms and concepts are explained in a thoughtful manner which doesn’t assume the listener/reader is a scholar. Many of the concepts discussed were familiar to me, but certainly not in detail and this book provided that detail in an accessible and comprehendible manner. I found this book quite affirming and comforting (although I appreciate that not everyone wants to talk about what happens after this life on earth).
The concepts discussed in this book have given meaning to things that have happened and also inspired me to be more mindful in my present life about my own actions and for those in the next life.
I will be looking for more books by Rav DovBer Pinson - thank you for writing this book.
A note on the narrator, Shlomo Sacks:
The narrator is very easy to listen to, doesn’t speak too fast and has a nice accent which is a pleasure to listen to. This is the second book narrated by Shlomo Sacks I’ve listened to. I’ll be looking for more, just because he is so easy to listen to.
Highly recommended.
