Intriguing story 🐲 and interesting world building

I really enjoyed this story - an interesting FMC
and a broody male interest who wields shadows (IYKYK). The story was simple but set up for more to come in the next books. Well narrated, sometimes tricky to discern which perspective it was from, but only for a moment or two before it clicked. It feels Star Wars ish, I wonder if it’s got a bit of that as its pretense?
