Story
"Biblical womanhood" is the idea that the Bible teaches God-ordained male leadership and female submission in the home and subordination in the church. Some say this hierarchy of authority is sufficiently evidenced by examples of male leadership (and lack of female leadership) in the Bible: the first human was male, Israel's official priests were male, most authors of Scripture were male, Jesus was male and chose twelve male Apostles. God is addressed as Father. Wives are commanded to submit to their husbands.

Jesus' treatment of women was revolutionary. That's why they flocked to him. Wherever he went, they sought him out. Women sat at his feet and tugged at his robes. They came to him for healing, for forgiveness, and for answers. In Jesus through the Eyes of Women, Rebecca McLaughlin explores the life-changing accounts of women who met the Lord. By entering the stories of the named and unnamed women in the Gospels, this book gives listeners a unique lens to see Jesus as these women did and marvel at how he loved them in return.

Famously described as the “long, withdrawing roar” of the “Sea of Faith,” the Christian narrative that shaped the West has been replaced by sweeping secularism. But is that the end of the story? It was a conversation with agnostic journalist Douglas Murray that led Brierley to investigate whether a change was on the horizon.

In God Has a Name, John Mark Comer takes you line by line through Exodus 34:6-8 - Yahweh's self-revelation on Mount Sinai, one of the most quoted passages in the Bible.

Today in the West, many consider the church to be dead or dying. Christianity is seen as outdated, bigoted, and responsible for many of society’s problems. This leaves many believers embarrassed about their faith and many outsiders wary of religion. But what if the Christian message is not the enemy of our modern Western values, but the very thing that makes sense of them? In this fascinating book, Glen Scrivener takes listeners on a journey to discover how the teachings of Jesus not only turned the ancient world upside down, but continue to underpin the way we think.

Story
Loving Our Kids on Purpose combines the principles of the Kingdom of God and revival to form a powerful strategy for parents. Rather than the traditional approaches that train children to learn to accept being controlled by well-meaning parents and adults, this book teaches parents how to train children to manage their freedoms and protect their important heart-to-heart relationships. Children were designed with the core need of freedom. To deny this or live ignorant of it eventually destroys the trust connection between parent and child.

Publisher's Summary
What if it's not your fault that sex is bad in your marriage?
Based on a groundbreaking in-depth survey of 22,000 Christian women, The Great Sex Rescue unlocks the secrets to what makes some marriages red hot while others fizzle out. Generations of women have grown up with messages about sex that make them feel dirty, used, or invisible, while men have been sold such a cheapened version of sex, they don't know what they're missing. The Great Sex Rescue hopes to turn all of that around, developing a truly biblical view of sex where mutuality, intimacy, and passion reign.
The Great Sex Rescue pulls back the curtain on what is happening in Christian bedrooms and exposes the problematic teachings that wreck sex for so many couples-and the good teachings that leave others breathless. In the #MeToo and #ChurchToo era, not only is this book a long overdue corrective to church culture, it is poised to free thousands of couples from repressive and dissatisfying sex lives so that they can experience the kind of intimacy and wholeness God intended.
Contains mature themes.

Wow!
Loved this! At first the title scared me! Will not regret read/listening to this book! Was narrated well, the stories did break my heart! I did learn a lot and hopefully be able to put into practice. It’s a hard subject and very personal, was written well and is very helpful. I think this will be helpful for all couples in understanding each other and learning to respect and so love to each other in a Godly way.

EMPOWERING FIRST MARRIAGE AND SEX BOOK!
LOVED THIS BOOK 100%! What an amazing study and the findings are so powerful for women and men in evangelical churches. So helpful to not only understand how sex messages have been distorted but also powerful assertions about how to fix them! Made me feel confident to find resources and tackle sexual issues head-on!

A healing book for many
This is for everyone... but particularly those who have been oppressed and have been led to believe the lie that their duty to God is to suffer for their husbands... they have done their research, they are insightful, honest, and consider both sides of the coin on HEAPS of topics! This is for both husband and wife and reveals the truth about what God really intends for couples. I'm so relieved this book exists and I pray the ripple effect from this one will begin to heal and change the bad teaching that has done so much damage.
