Story
Both a personal and general meditation on identity and belonging, Daniel J. Siegel’s book combines personal reflections with scientific discussions of how the mind, brain, and our relationships shape who we are. Weaving the internal and external, the subjective and objective, IntraConnected reveals how our culture may give us a message of separation as a solo, isolated self, but a wider perspective unveils that who we are may be something more―broader than the brain, bigger even than the body―and fundamental to social systems and the natural world.

Story
The unique business problems we face today have rendered the old corporate playbook obsolete. Without it, executives scramble for guidance, only to discover everyone around them is just as lost. JeVon’s people-first mindset guides his service as CEO of Scribe Media, a multimillion-dollar publishing company Entrepreneur magazine ranked America’s #1 Top Company Culture. The son of a Black pimp father and a White orphan mother on welfare, JeVon’s experiences demonstrate more than the old playbook’s issues—he’s living proof that we should throw it out.
Publisher's Summary
Stop treating your work and your life as separate.
Work shouldn't be a burden that takes place outside of your “real life". It should, and can, be a source of happiness and authentic meaning - if you work from the inside out. After all, a company is the sum of its people: We decide where, how, and why we work.
In The Full Body Yes, featuring five bonus guided meditations exclusive to the audiobook, LinkedIn’s Head of Mindfulness and Compassion Programs Scott Shute shows how the evolution within companies lies in the evolution of ourselves. Through a four-step action plan, he demonstrates how the journey to a working life of happiness and authentic meaning is fueled by compassion. As you engage with Shute’s illuminating case studies, personal stories, and transformational guided activities, you’ll begin to cultivate compassion for yourself and others, and move toward a work lifestyle that allows you to:
- Discover what is important to you, so that you can spend more time doing just that
- Recognize and empower the deeper part of yourself
- Measure your success by your own happiness
- Allow yourself to develop and evolve at work
- Love and serve all of life (including yourself)
Everyone deserves to do work that makes them happy, and to find happiness at work. With compassion, we can all get there.

The book gave me a feeling of travelling together with Scott through the time back & forth.
