Publisher's Summary

Four friends, brothers Bill and Ryan, plus their two lifelong friends, Charlie and Danny, take their annual fishing trip on Lake Michigan during the fall salmon season. It has proven to be great fun for the four young men, but this year, things will be different. It's a trip they have taken for the last six years.

After spending the day without catching a single fish, they decide to break the rule set down by the brother's father years ago, after a particularly bad night of fishing, to never stay on the lake after dark ever again. Once darkness closes in and they've drank far too much, the lighthouse light winks out, then they experience the failure of their navigation equipment, becoming hopelessly lost out on the dark lake.

In their wandering about the lake, they discover an old ferry that appears to be abandoned. This chance encounter changes forever their annual excursion from a fun-filled, male bonding experience, into a race to the safety of shore with the devil's own nipping at their heels and chopping at their heads. The twists and turns come fast and furious, culminating in a shocking climax that will leave you gasping and ready to swim to shore.
